Original 8sp brifters are getting on a bit and have a number of wear points that can make 2nd hand risky. In my experience generally hard to get good 2nd hand units now.
God only knows why they keep their price when you can get:
Stay away from Sora, reasonably durable but the button downshift is crap (and seem to remember Dura ace is incompatible with other group components).

Which work well (well as ultegra back in the day), are generally cheaper now than working OEM 600 or 105 second hand units (that still have life left in them).
