QLD WTB: Cheap DH Brake set

Hey Guys,

Mate recently acquired a cheap DH that I need to grab some brakes for. Just wondering if anyone had a spare set lying around to suit a medium frame?

How:
- big is he
- aggressive is he
- steep and long are your trips?

Could be shimano slx/xt will suit just fine or avids. Ive got some elixir 5 brakes that function but need bleeding after a long stay in a box. But

He is about 6'2", 70-80kgs, not mild & not crazy. and runs would be 5mins max.

If he has the cash the shimano xt/slx option would be plenty fine, even deore. I'll have a dig in my parts box for the avids, though I did find myself down a few items I recently claimed to have...

Still have the old Hayes set in my garage sale which he is welcome to. Nothing flash but the price is right ($0, though postage and handling fee may apply, ie bribery to get me to a post office if needed) and did the job for me years back. May need some TLC as they've been idle a while but will at least get him riding. Off a large giant ac so should have the length.
