Online registration is now officially OPEN for round 4 of the YETI CYCLES ELEVATION ALL MOUNTAIN SERIES. This is the coolest type of mountain bike racing on the planet, and as riders are saying "the best fun ive EVER had racing". SENIOR ENTRIES ARE $79, AND ALL JUNIOR ENTRIES HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO ONLY $50 FOR TWO DAYS OF RIDING AND RACING!!!

EVENT INFO:

YETI CYCLES ELEVATION EVENT SCHEDULE ROUND 4 FEBRUARY 16 & 17.

RACE VENUE:

Drive into Mount Beauty and continue through town, where the main road becomes Bogong High Plains Tourist Drive. As you start heading uphill you will see a sign on your RIGHT saying BIG HILL MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK. Turn right and drive up onto the grass up under the big pine trees. Please remember that there will be lots of other cars trying to park there aswell, so try to park in rows where possible!

ACCOMODATION:

Mount Beauty Holiday Centre proudly sponsors Round 4 of the Yeti All Mountain MTB Series. We offer a range of accommodation and camping sites, set on picturesque, botanical river frontage and within a 1km easy ride to the Big Hill Mountain Bike Park. We are quite comfortably nestled in between the local hotel/bistro and the Sweetwater Brewery, and 1 minute walk from cafes, milk bar and takeaways. The Mount Beauty Tavern has been looking after mountain bikers in Mount Beauty for many years, with a huge choice of meals and drinks, and is always a good spot for some post ride celebrating!!!

Mount Beauty has a great FOOD WORKS SUPERMARKET with all the supplies you need, wether you are camping or fully self contained. Check them out on the main shopping strip in town.

BIKE SHOP ON SITE:

Scott Beeton from the brand new Moun Beauty Bikes store will be on hand all weekend with all sorts of bike part available and will be wrenching each day aswell to fix any problems or bike drama’s you may have.

FRIDAY 15TH FEBRUARY
12PM-6PM Track open for inspection (on foot only-no riding for event staff safety as we will be bunting the track)

SATURDAY 16TH FEBRUARY

8AM Registration open at race venue (address above)
Full event catering now on site at all ALPINE GRAVITY events with a new company doing all our races. Full meals, drinks, snacks, and of course AWESOME COFFEE will be available all weekend at GREAT PRICES.
8.30AM Track marshals placed on course.
9AM RIDER BRIEFING and Official practice begins-course is live.
4PM Official practice finishes.

SUNDAY 17TH FEBRUARY

8AM Registration open at race venue
8.30AM Track marshals on course.
9AM RIDER BRIEFING and official practice begins-course is live.
11.30AM Official practice ends. Riders get ready for racing.
12 Midday Racing begins with LIVE TIMING running a FINISH LINE TIMING BOARD. Each rider does one timed run and can see instant results.
3.30PM Racing finishes.
4PM PRESENTATION WITH OFFICIAL RESULTS ANNOUNCED.

5PM COURSE BUNTING AND SIGNAGE REMOVED-ALL HELP APPRECIATED.

the 'track' is actually seven individual trails linked together to form an amazing course. if it was the big hill course top to bottom, then it would be a downhill race.

and yes, shuttles all weekend.

If anyone needs a ride up from Melbourne I can take 3 people and bikes in my ute friday mnight/sat morn. Or if anyone has a spare seat for me that would be rad! Please!

There were plenty at Beauty this weekend. Was a great track. The guys and girls at beauty have built some sweet tracks.

Cheers mate I'm planning on getting there, I have never done an event like this.....actually only a couple events back in 2000....Just got back on the bike!

Plenty of first time racers at these events. No one takes it overly serious. Everyone's there just to have a ball and everyone usually does.

No, you can register on the day but to ensure that Ben get's enough shuttle vehicles, etc, it's encouraged to register online. It's also usually cheaper to do it online. Online registration closes a few days before the event so get in now.
