NNNOOO! There was a steep right hand switchback on the Lithgow state mine track I could not do well at all.

Lets make all corners left handers - I turn left better.
LOL, I agree.

I'd also like to see some more step ups in trails. They seem to be pretty rare....

The Bar

My favourite feature is the bar at the bottom of the track eg Del Rio, Thredbo.

One of the local trail zones (glenrock lagoon) used to be a tip and has so had its fair share of illegal dumping as well. There used to be:
- a double over a burnt out car
- a step down over a washing machine
- a double over a stove
- plenty of asbestos.

Asbestos really is a must for a good ride. I like the feeling of imminent danger!

i specialise in wierd.

It is. Why do you ask two dogs? You no likey? If so, you're a weirdo...............:behindsofa:
Just been to you tube. Not only is it like cock rock...it is cock rock! That trail is sick. Cock rock is hilarious. I have seen people pull over in blizards to get photos with it. It is always a good site a few days after fresh snow. A tall proud cock shaped rock with a big white blob of snow on the tip. Might have to include a pic or two in the questions about nz thread.

Does that look like something you would do with your front axle undone?? :)
If I wanted it to be scary...cause you know im like totally extreme and my heart pumps gnar. I back flipped that jump with my front wheel still in the car.

Just browsed past the pic and at a glance it looks like all attention is on your front wheel.

Yeah okay, straight through to the keeper with that one...

As an XC rider, I like tight but flowing single track that uses heaps of natural features. Rocky sections are great, so long as they don't pop out of nowhere and you don't need heaps of speed to clear the next obstacle 1m away.

Rollable drops are cool.

Wooden features are OK, but I prefer natural stuff. Flat and featureless doesn't mean boring!

Braking bumps suck.

See you at The Rock Trail - Kentlyn. It is everything you talk of. The photo is from The Roost Magazine. The rider is Daniel McDonald.

^^^ wow, great photo of someone's crotch.

The best trail features are usually those that can't be recreated- the ones that have just naturally occurred or have occurred with only minor digging or other augmentation. Myself and a few mates came across a natural mini halfpipe on a trail we are constructing, it has a berm drop-in then you pump up a wall ride then back into pop up and over a fade away jump onwards down hill.
