Ah nice. Looks damn familiar.

Good beer choice..
All the beaches down here look a bit same same.

It was a particular highlight of the weekends beverages. Not looking forward to the drive home but my liver is probably thanking me.

Spent the weekend at the Noosa Hillclimb. Our car wasn't ready due to a delay in getting the rollcage done but there were plenty of nice cars and a good event all up.

First up the tricycle club. My cousin has been trying to get into this club and finally managed!

It probably isn't fair posting Escorts since they lift a front wheel easily.

A few replicas doing the rounds including a Ferrari 365GTB4

This Austin is a 1925 replica

A bit of Aussie history with a Brabham, sadly it lunched its engine on run 4

A nice MkI

And we all know that the forest in the natural enemy of a greenstuff Falcon (another replica)

The beautifully prepared Daytona Competitione, much of this car uses original factory parts like windows, doors, wheels etc.

And finally some different shots of things

Anyone want to guess what this is and what the engine and transmission cost?

Mk1 GTis do suffer from lift off oversteer...

Countersteering an LS powered 928

And the event winner, a Dallara

Damn, beaten by 40 mins.

Nice.

I'm co-driving in this with my brother in two weeks, Spirit category.

He's got a Fiesta ST with every mod under the sun. Apparently it's my job to stop him from crashing.
Brother-in-law raced the Pedigree V8 ute a number of years ago, so he knows how to steer. One and only tarmac rally he entered he managed to flip a Lancer Evo, ripping a wheel off and folding the steering wheel against the dash.

He's scheming to do it again and somehow my name has been mentioned for navigator

The Castrol Corolla is a cool flashback tho
Sure is, was a surprise to see it at service park actually. I'm not sure if it'll run or if its part of Toyota's presence here but it'd be cool to see it getting flicked around.
I am astounded at the constant lack of interest for this event. I love motor racing but circuit racing just has too much of a monopoly on people. Rally is amazing and I can't understand why people aren't here getting behind it. We've had it since 2011 and the numbers are fudged each year saying how many people come to town.
I travel the world watching motor racing and having it at home is an amazing thing. Sing out if anyone is keen for next year here, I'll show ya a thing or two. ;)

Right on Dozer.
I reckon rally is friggin awesome too. So underrated.
I saw the WRC in the flesh a few years back in Turkey. Got sprayed with dirt and rocks - it was unbelievable how fast those guys are.

Would love to make it up there one of these years.
