I was interested in seeing what the new strive looked like but it doesn't really suit me. There is no aluminium bikes so you have to get a pretty expensive build to get some decent suspension and wheels. Other canyon bikes you can get a nice build for a good price by going Aluminium.
I'm surprised they didn't give it a slacker HA/steeper ST. 66° HA is pretty steep for an enduro bike, especially when you can steepen it up further with the shapeshifter. Same can be said about the seat tube.
Still a great looking bike and I'm sure it will find many homes, but not mine.
I just had a look at the torque and they've changed the specs recently. I assume it must be some sort of mistake but the AL 6.0 model has the weight at 16.7kg. It used to be 15.1 from memory and a review I read suggests that I'm right. The 7.0 (in carbon) is 14.8 which is about the same as I remember that being. I can see a bit of extra weight going 11 to 12 spd and maybe a touch more by using different wheels but I can't imagine 16.7kg being right.
Trail, enduro or downhill, you choose. The Torque is a versatile gravity bike that blurs the boundaries and can be used for almost everything. View full tech specs.
