There are scores more posts coming - I'm approving them in batches, but there's only so much I can do.

Still, when Trump gets re-elected, Sam and the Moorster will be able to chat in depth about wagon wheels.

One part of me is looking forward to that, the other part is terrified.

Coming home today, Maianbar Drive - a white tailed (black shouldered) kite landed in a tree next to the road. Jammed the brakes & swung back - utterly magnificent, but camera shy.

Never seen one up close before. Was even more awesome than that one...

Awesome bird, I've seen plenty of sea eagles but never this kite. Are they common?

How big? We have various eagles and kites and hawks. The kites tend to be quite small by comparison.
