LTIH- okay I’m on a roll this week, start actually inquiring about cars and yes we can do you a good price oh the car will not be available until September - October
Start looking for a second hand one, find one looks pretty much new with only 3k on the clock but they want $6k over retail
Well they are saying it’s a sellers market

we have an independent servo over a couple of suburbs away, yesterday was selling Diesel for $205.9 which is apparently the cheapest in the Hunter...Only problem is that suburb is famous for having a proud and well displayed level of crime, fill your car up and get car jacked on the way home!
But I think the owners of the servo are making a killing, theft comes in many forms!
Please share the location, I’m game.

Hisense is usually Mitsubishi running gear. The Australian Bosch spare parts department is underwhelming, you can't even talk to a rep that's any type of trades person. I'd consider yourself lucky if you got something free out of them.

How good is that. What brand?
Edit - Doh - Hisense. Interesting.
The Aberdonian Technician that came out to look at it works for several different brands and he reckons they are just about the best warranty and aftercare about at the moment, that's from the mouth of a tight arsed Scotsman too. He told me to give them a call and tell them my fridge is dead at 4.5yrs and he thought they might look after me... they did. I sent him a message and thanked him for the advice.

I also have the option of credit for the value of the fridge at Harvey Normans.

The one they are sending me is slightly different and $400 more than the original, so I'll wait 4 weeks rather than take the price of a a 5yr old fridge.

Yeah that was Jan 21, they must have known it was issue as there was no resistance at all, they sent out a local Bosch Tech with the spare part in hand and he changed it out free of charge. The cooktop was a year out of warranty.

My mate had a preorder for a Ranger Raptor with Ford (blue of course) in the first Covid period, almost a year waiting. Dealership paid him $10k more to keep it (showroom sticker was $120k in Canberra, 30k over the retail price, it sold), stacked to the hilt with the ford factory options. Took the cash and ordered again (black, less waiting time), probably the worst colour for going off road in regards to swirl marks etc.

Yes, but a ranger raptor isn’t going off road….

Just catching up on a bit of the burn from yesterday. I can't hide that I was a little bummed the @slider_phil shout out didn't result in pages of burners tagging him in their posts. The last time that happened gave sad old poodle a little chuckle.

There's still time!

I think last time I was originally mis-tagged and it went from there. Maybe it's a sign I need to spend more time on here, but I've been a busy man the last couple of years and now a new job heading into the busiest time of the year for me.

I'm lucky to get a couple of rides in a week these days

Love the gravel bike, they’re very popular around here now. Nice sharp geo from the look of it.

Since you are a gravel convert and aren’t riding much really, have you considered handing me down you XMC wheelset?

It's bought a bit of new life into my very flat MTB routes around here.

MTB is still getting used though. Mostly on the trainer at the moment. My wife doesn't even like switching out to her bike so she just uses the dropper to set her saddle height and uses mine.

No dice on the wheelset, too good to sell

Organisations that hold races - like those who held an event at Stromlo today - that don't take the bunting down after the race. When I rode at around 5pm, whatever the race was, it had obviously been over for some time. Yet all their bunting and barricades that cut across tracks, cut off particular lines, etc. had all just been left in place. All those who were riding the taxpayer funded facilities would come flying around corners to find obstacles in our way. Selfish and stupid behaviour.
