Reeb steel downcountry bike
3D printed bits, CNC linkage, steel flexstays. Snazzy.
My dream bike right there.Levy's review of the SST

Ohoh.........................@Tubbsy @Dales Cannon - I feel that a new subtitle is required for Jpez ....
It's how it looks to me, just not how I look to others.
Nice little reminder that the bike is not the most important part of the package.
I bet downcountry does not look like this to most who love that category
Commencal make some good bikes and I like watching this type of footage. But I never forget that pro riders can make any bike look good.

I hear you! It's how it looks to me, just not how I look to others.
There's nothing like watching the pros hit shit on a hrad-tail that I'd be scared to go over on my 160mm Altitude...Commencal make some good bikes and I like watching this type of footage. But I never forget that pro riders can make any bike look good.
I reckon the next Ripley (which I'm guessing will be coming out in 2023) will be the pony to bet on.I do like a short travel trail bike though (down-country is a stupid term), will be interested to see the geometry and specs on the tempo
I'm very keen on seeing the new Smuggler as wellI reckon the next Ripley (which I'm guessing will be coming out in 2023) will be the pony to bet on.
Yeah absolutely, although given the spy shots so far have shown it with a piggyback shock I think it'll be more of a Spectral 125 rival rather than a dedicated short travel trail bike (plus Transition has the Spur for that).I'm very keen on seeing the new Smuggler as well
Shame it has headset cable routing

Bit of an overview from Pinkbike here too:https://www.pinkbike.com/news/first-look-2023-commencal-tempo-a-new-short-travel-trail-bike.htmlTempo is now up on Commencal website (and a quick Pinkbike write up). Four price points from $4900-$9300. Frame is $2800.
Base model is $1200 more than the Spec Stumpjumper alloy, but does have much, much better brakes and better suspension.
The next model up ($5900) is on par cost wise with the RM Element Alloy 50, although there's more travel on the Tempo.
Good looking bike that I wouldn't mind a test ride on, but the price for direct-to-consumer seems reasonably high, and that head-set routing still makes no sense to me
