if you put coloured ones in an oven at maybe 200deg for a short time, the anodising dye colour will likely breakdown or substantially fade.
won't be silver but.. closer.

I rode plastic for years. This was due to weight and colours. I only had one issue where a pedal body tore off over the axle while railing a berm. The pedal had been used for quite a while prior to that happening. Now I have dmr vault in magnesium which are lighter again.

Yep pushys had them for $66, bought 4 pairs as they were cheaper than a rebuild kit
