Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking for high tops that provide support over the ankles. I can't tell you the model of my old Shimano boots. I bought them in 2008 and the model name on he tounge has long worn off. The Shimano XM9's seem to offer the same style.

Does anyone know any high top mtb shoes that accept spds? So far I have only found Shimano XM 9 shoes. At about $300 I was hoping there were a few more options out there.

I ended up getting new forks for the bike that are matched to the frame. Makes a massive difference. Bike is now much more stable and much nicer to ride.
