that's cool, but surely once you get your tension right, you don't need to be changing it? tighten oppo side, then peg side. if you have someone else, get them to reef the wheel across to the side that's struggling to tension. It's cool if you don't want to run pegs, but i'm just running out of ideas myself without them.
