Pffft, whatever. In seven races he had a 68th (in the washout at Lourdes) then went 6th, 4th, 1st, 2nd, 6th and 5th. Thats mega.

The last straight before the flat right hand turn to the finish, not sure if you can replay the live feed, but the camera angle showed it slightly better there. It had what looked like a much faster line on the left but not many riders took it, don't know why.

the 4x looked fairly smooth, on the whole.
There was a little bit of stony ground visible for a split second. maybe that was the 'rock garden' :wacko:

Yeah, it just looked like a big downhill BMX track. Sanitized rubbish. Not like the 4X I remember watching back in the day, where you were basically taking your life into your hands every time you raced.

I tried to find some old footage on YouTube, but failed. I used to love the full contact aggressive style that was the norm back in the day!

A lot of the 4x footage I found was definitely on rougher tracks.
