I like the attention to detail.

Just one question though, what's with the magnet on the calliper?

I forgot to take the little rubber bumper I put on it during the build.

Damn,

I thought it might have been something really cool like a strong magnet that helped the piston return. :nerd:

Strong magnets don't really work with aluminium alloy

What are the pads made out of? Or the pad backing plate? ... Yes the piston and housing may be alloy but the others normally are steel of some description

Had a great ride yesterday at Davies creek. Very stiff through the chassis and wheels. Feels 20% better than my BlurLT overall. 30% improvement in rolling and suspension through fast choppy singletrack. I haven't switched out of Trail mode on the CTD suspension until the stiction is broken in. Still getting used to to the required change in manoevering switchbacks. Climbing with the 165mm cranks and 2x10 setup isn't so hard because of the light weight. The tyre combination is perfect so far - still haven't tested it in sloppy conditions.

Built to 11.07kg with pedals (24.4lbs). The Saint brakes are temporary - I couldn't source XTR M987 brakes (carbon lever, magnesium calliper body) as there doesn't seem to be any in stock anywhere yet (but the braking performance so far might make me keep the Saints on despite the small weight penalty).
