AM Balfa belair. Yeah baby

Picked up a nifty bike the other day, a belair from way back.
It has crossmax sx wheels
Revelation to
Fox rear of some kind
XO brakes
XT crank

Unfortunately the derailleur and shifter don't work very well so will be pulling the Gemini apart for gears.

The bike seems to ride well apart from only a couple gears.
Was super stoked that the shock held air.
Anyway, enough of the drivel.

Agreed, looks interesting. The shock seems to be within the TT. Looks like maybe some sort of linkage driven vpp or similar.

Stumbled across 4 balfas in complete and frames.
Including a bb7 that will be posted on here when completed.
The minuteman should be up and running in the next day or so

Always found these interesting kinda like a pre-cursor to the digit datum
Quite jealous of the group of balfas.
My minuteman is one of the frames I truly regret selling.

Finally got the gears sorted today. Bit of a fuckwit confession but that comes at a different stage.
Had plenty of air in the shock but decided to add the extra 10 psi for my weight as prescribed, unscrew the shockie pump and psssthh out comes all the air. Hopefully just the valve core has come loose or similar so will get a tool tomorrow.
I have been led to believe a normal supercheap valve core will work. Hopefully

yeah I think I ran 2.2 continental race kings and that was the best I could fit
