Brake pad types?

I had a look on Avids web site, and it clearly says that all* Avid brakes can be ran with Dot 4 fluid or Dot 5.1 fluid.

Also this is what im going to do:
Sintered pads
Give it full brake bleed
Replace Dot 4 fluid with Dot 5.1

^^That should give me a far bit of power?:confused:

haha the bleed and change of fluid wont do much for your power unless you got air in your lines. the main difference between a dot 4 and dot 5.1 fluid is the boiling point(and its not really an issue with pushbikes).
just remember not to mix the fluids, you will need to flush all the old fluid out if your changing form any dot to a different spec dot.

This might be a dumb question, but after you've finished bleeding what do you do with the left-over fluid in the syringe, do you just put it back into the bottle?:confused::confused::confused:

I wouldn't put it back in the bottle. Put it in a waste container and toss it.
