Well, I am going to have to add my recent fwittery. Already spotted in the what did('nt) you do (right) today thread.. Alcohol can impair your ability to perform certain tasks, except to drink more...
Due to recent weather which is great to go riding, the weather also provides a much dryer and dustier environment. After months of abuse with said dust the poor ol steed was starting to show signs of something that would be considered unhealthy in the medical world for humans. So a morning to ponder and a beer (or two) decide to remedy the situation. Few hours later I am into it and do the pull apart (more beers included). So i fastidiously clean everything and think wow, what I have done to the poor girl.
Part Duex! Beer, look at bike, beer, attack with gusto. So in the process of putting the steed back together greasing, lubing and fitting. I get to the hubs on the final stretch. Whilst lubing the hubs, my beer addled brain decided to play a fun game of goldfish memory and kept my inner thoughts at bay. Subconsciously there was a "why is the grease tube grey" but Zen said carry on. Not until later I though once everything was together and packing up i thought "Doh Anti seize is grey!" Beer addled grey matter fwittery... :frusty:
Still a good excuse to pull apart and play with it again. At least there is no creaks or crunching..
