I'm pretty sure xt is top tier for features, xtr adds Jenny Craig and xc street cred.

At least that's what I've always told myself so I don't spend more money and go xtr

Maybe you live in a nicer area than me. Round here XT may be on the top shelf but XTR would be behind the counter in a locked cabinet.

XTR can’t trickle down tech if it is on the same top shelf as XT.
When it shifts as good as old 9 speed I will consider it top shelf.
