Electric Guitar

so i just bought a second hand Ibanez AX7221 7-string for and Pod xt live for $400, and its covered in stickers. What's the best way to get rid of them without ruining the finish?
I used to have one end of my strap duct taped to my guitar and when i finally took it off I used eucalyptus oil to get the sticky stuff off. Worked a treat and didn't seem to affect the finish. I remember reading back then that rubbing alcohol is a definite no no.

I'd test it on a small section on the back or something first though.

I'm currently pulling out some serious 70s porno music. It's probably putting the grandma and grandpa who live upstairs, "in the mood".

Anyway,
Onto guitars,

is what i'm currently working on..

I thought I would post it up to get some feedback as to whether or not to develop the ideas and concepts within it further.

Have a listen, clear your mind :)

Did something naughty I thought you guys should know about.....

Bought one. Vox AC30C2. My strat sounds so freakin' good through it. I pretty much haven't stopped playing for the last few days.

Phwoar!
Now you'll just have to indulge in some high end pickups to do the amp justice :)
(If you aren't using some already).

Maybe a rio grande neck and middle to get that tubealicious sound?

Nice amp mate.

Yeah I've thought about it. My strat has the stock Fender Noiseless N3s in it and it already sounds so awesome. I wonder if it could sound any better? And I'm wondering if it's worth the risk to try something else out in it?! :p Either way, that won't be for a while. I'll be eating noodles for the next few weeks. Totally worth it.

For a really good price you can get the EMG HZ passive single coils from stuart macdonald (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electro...EMG_Pickups/EMG-HZ_S2_Single-coil_Pickup.html)

They are about $60 and they have a really juicy fat traditional tone. And they are super quiet. I'm using some right now in my Peavey. I may even have a spare kicking around which you can have if you want to try one out. I've got boxes of pickups full of duncans, emg's, bill lwarence. These are worth a try though.

oh yeah? I think I could really go for something in the bridge that has a little bit more output for rock stuff. I only use the bridge pup for distortions (sometimes blended with the middle pup for cleans).

I'm currently wiring a Dimarzio Evo into the bridge of my RG. Will be posting up the results when it's done. It's my first wiring experience so I'm hoping it works haha.

Tell ya what, Iv'e got an EMG 85 you can have. No charge.
It's a beast. The quietest pickup I have ever used, and sup higb output. Sustains for days.
Throw that bad boy in the bridge and you'll be screamin'.

PM your address and I'll flick it on through this arvo.

Amazing offer man, but I need a single coil (for the strat). I'd take it for the RG but my EVO is wired in the bridge and I don't think I'd want to try and route a battery cavity in it haha. Thanks anyway! They are a great pickup
