Farkin' Creaking Cranks!

Cheers lupine128, the only prob is i have'nt got the receit...so, ill go 2 halfords and give it ago....the blagging i mean :twisted: but yeah, i just want to save some £ for xmas, so i'll get my isis later on. Ill see how the raceface bb lasts.....cheers for all the help

could be a grain of sand between the BBcups and that and the frame.

yeah like lupine said - check the pedal/crank, the crank/BB, the BB/cup and the cup/frame contacts and grease them all if you haven't already. Sometimes it's not just the BB-crank connection that can creak. If you've even slightly flogged out the taper on one of the arm you'll never get rid of the noise though...

was also just remembering the time i spent 20 minutes trying to fix a creaking crank to find it was the steerer spacers. and anouther time it was the seat rails, so have a quicl look around.
basic rule tho, if it's metal to metal, grease it.
