My opening was only tentative, I've got a Miserere hand (52mm), you are going down in a screaming heap.

Measure the ID of the bottom of the head tube and the depth that it is that diameter before it necks down. Who knows @moorey could drill up an adapter to allow you to use my bottom bearing. Fuck, that can't be hard can it?

The inner diam of the bottom headset cup is the 52mm.

The thing I was looking for is essentially a ring with an inner diam of 30mm and an outer diam of 40mm. This sits inside the crown race for a tapered fork and allows you to fit it onto a straight steerer fork. It does have a flange on which the crown race sits.The one pictured in the OG post is one made by Hope.

It all sounds like too much of a stuff around, I'll just order the genuine adaptor race from the UK.
