Back in those days we had double income, no kids, no mortgage, and I could get wholesale on bikes.
These days it’s saving and scraping the cash together for a well used frames to build up. Enjoying it more than I ever did buying new.

Paint falls off my bike when I drop my tool bag on the bench, I swear. That would be my biggest issue with buying new. I'd be too scared to put tools to it.

I think that's still a bit highbrow for me. Raw aluminium is looking good though.
