Good news for Hobart.

After spending 4 weeks in Tassie and xmas and doing 2 descents of Mt Wellington via the North-South track. I would only imagine any kind of cable car being geared towards tourists, but price it too high and tourists will drive the cars they rented at the Airport.

With the 500m Cataract Gorge cable car being $12 one way and The Nut 200m chairlift at $15 one way IIRC... can only imagine the trip up Mt Wellington being way out of the reach of recreational MTBers, shit it would probably be cheaper to get a taxi to the top.

Sounds good, but will be very surprised if it will ever happen.
