is it possible?

my dad has some old roadbike/hybrid thinggy that has some el-cheapo forks with about 2 inches of travel.
If I bought a cheap BMX or soemthing like that would it be possible to put the forks from my dads old bike onto the bmx?
What other mods would be needed?

if it's a hybrid it'll have 700c wheels. That's bloody tall, especially for a bmx. I hope this is a joke/muckaround thing?

Apart from that, you need to know steerer size, and if it's threaded or ahead.

Ummmm I think BMX's use a 1" steerer tube, dont quote me though as I may be wrong... But if the hybrid is old it may also have a 1" steerer on it...Give it a try, who knows...I bet it's going to look pretty headfucked though.lol.

oldschool bmx's use 1" threaded, but almost every modern one is 1/18 ahead.
