^^ Yes you can, although body armour + jersey would be better.

Dont ride in the Nikes, get some 5-10's

if u have grips that cover the ends of your bars (bmx grips) then just shuv a 5cent piece down the grip and put it back on and away u go.

cheers im working on getting some 5 10's and jersey /armor and i have lock on's with bar ends and spare bar end's and so on what sort of spares do you recomend, keeping in mind that im in grade 11 and have never raced before
i do have 3 spare tubes to start off with.

Mate your already a step above my bike , she should be up to the job just expect things to get broken with falls and stuff
