It just proves we give licences to fuckwits with no regards to laws or the safety of other people, imagine what they do in the workplace and with their employees if they have any.

2 hours doesn’t apply?

A little thing I hate is people not playing by the rules. Sure, they suck, but they’re what we got right now.

I want to get out of lockdown as much as the next person, but unless we all do our bit, it ain’t gonna happen.
I am doing my bit thanks... Have only been at work, home or exercising for 3 months. Have not left my 5km zone except for work in 3 months. Have not seen my family in over 3 months.

40 minutes over on a ride in the bush where I rarely even see another person ?

You aren’t alone there Chewy. I ain’t seen my fam either, and working from home so don’t even get that release.
It sucks man, I get it, but if everyone had the ‘it’s only’ or ‘I’ve done my big’ attitude, we’re back to square one.

And of course there are comments blaming the guy on the bike. Straya...
It's important, and scary to realize that the cyclist victim blamers also vote. fucking dumb cunts, the lot of them.

The driver is at fault, anyone who thinks otherwise needs to carefully re-read (or read at all) the road rules.

The tired old bit about rego for bikes also needs to be retired for ever. Road building and maintenance money comes from general taxation revenue, the cost of rego and its administration barely breaks even, AFAIK.

Rego will not stop cyclists running a red light (which IS a dumb cunt act), just as rego, and even red light cameras, don't seem to stop some drivers from running red lights, or speeding.

Older fellow in our club, great guy, always the first to volunteer to drive shuttles or do track work...fucked himself up pretty bad this week on our tracks. :(

Hi friends just wanted to make an update
Last Monday evening I had a accident off my mountain bike.
I was very well cared for by the guys I ride with and they got me in an ambulance.
Had some scans . 4 broken ribs 4 broken vertebrae and broken pelvis. Lung had collapsed so needed a surgery in Ballarat to fix that, then back in ambulance to Royal Melbourne hospital. Very lucky that all fractures stable require no treatment. Wear a large back brace which specialists are happy will completely support my fractures and not allow me to twist in a dangerous way.
No weight on left leg for 3 months so I can dance around with a walking frame and maybe crutches soon
I’m back at Ballarat hospital now so able to catch up with my girls
Think I will be discharged tomorrow to go home and get on with it- can’t wait.
All the people I have met through this process have been amazing. I have felt safe always even when scared shitless. I will NEVER forget the kindness I have been shown by complete strangers( the nurses at the RM hospital work in the toughest most confronting situation I have ever seen but are the most gentle caring people I have ever met)
I am not sure what my future work situation will be but it will be different.
I have been making timber tabletops and furniture at home part time for 12 months and plan to start trying to sell items once this COVID crisis eases. I have built a little Facebook page and will share it with you all once I’m ready.
Peace out bitches
Life’s good

That’s a good effort... Mirror his thoughts on emergency care in public hospitals, they do an amazing job on not nearly enough resources.

Sucks to be you guys and a lot of other people. I'm not jealous of your predicament at all. Good luck with however much longer it's going to drag on.

Fucking DHL. Their "Australian" page doesn't recognise international tracking numbers, so jumps to the international English language search link on the DHL UK site, which also doesn't/wouldn't pick up a parcel going from Germany to Australia, so here I am going all Google translate off the tracking screenshot the seller sent me:

367888

It'll turn up at some stage, but if I may reiterate - Fuck DHL. Whoever designed and approved their perpetual-loop English-language websites deserves bamboo shards under the fingernails...

@beeb have you tried the tracking number in Auspost? DHL is both a massive multinational courier company and also owner of the German national post. A lot of the DHL shipments people on here get from BC/B24 seem to take ages which suggests they’re maybe coming via postal network. Otherwise maybe try a third party tracker like Aftership.

Cheers @leitch - tracking number works in Auspost. Now I just need it to leave Germany. Fingers crossed it arrives before the end of Melbourne lockdown!
