I quite like both tyres for dirt lumps. But I have only once tried to use the crossmark when I should have had a minion.

Crossmarks do work in a certain set of conditions, which don't always match common trends. I don't deny that they have limitations. But SB8s have an even narrower working range than Crossmarks; I'd rate them next to Ikons.
