Maxxis weight limit

I brought a new Maxxis Ardent (26 x 2.25) EXO
While fitting it I noticed the following printed in the case :
Max load 90kgs. Now i'll overlook for a second that I'm over that weight bone dry- If you assume that average bike and riding gear is around 12kgs, it seems maxis are limiting their tires to guys under 78kgs. I find this curious.

Only if you always have weight 50/50 across each wheel- dunno about you but I regularly have all my weight on the back wheel- occasionally the front too.
