A2Z Ti Skewers
Middleburn RS8 Cranks 32t Uno Ring
Boone Ti Rear Cog 20T and spacers
SRAM PC68 Chain
Crank Bros Candy SL Pedals
Moots Seatost
WTB Rocket V Race ti Seat

Weight TBA but lighter than my Niner in the same regalia.

Let me know what you think.

Extremely nice bike to both ride and gaze at. Craftsmenship is the best I have seen on a frame. Finish is Raw beadblasted Ti and so so sweet. This bike will spend most of its life as a Singlespeed with the Reba as the Blacksheep which arrives in a fortnight will be a Rigid Only with a custom Webtrussed Ti Fork.

Very cool. Those rotors are schmick.

Is there any play/twisting in the rear brakeside dropout when you brake hard? Doesn't look like there's much in the way of slots/guides (other than the bolts) to resist the twisting (my PDC hardtail has a very similar setup and while it's sufficient under normal trail-type braking, doing rear wheel stalls and the like it is not a fan of).

Most importantly though, how does it ride?

Interesting setup with the bars. Those industry 9 hubs are truly the schizzle.

I certainly can't feel any twisting on the rear under hard brakes. The dropou has a rectangular machined lud that fits pefectin in the slot that prevents and motion of the dropout as well so it isn't just the bolts like most similar setups.

Ride: well this thing is fast. I am a 6'3" and weigh 92kgs and ride aggressive XC, Enduros etc. I love 29ers in fact I have traded all my 26" nikes for them. Personally they are faster for me and feel right.

The Moots, well it is probably a bit stiffer than my Niner 853 Steel frame but weights a fair bit less. It is so compliant as far as trail chatter and feedback goes, this is my first Titanium Mountain Bike Frame and I am amased with how nice the ride is. With the wheels it is very snappy under acceleration and gets up to speed very quickly. I am still playing with handlebar height as it is a bit higher than I am used to but still climbs like a dream with no front wheel lift. Steering as per most 29ers is very stable and not twitchy at all, not quite as fast as a 26" bike but requires a lot less body language to maintain line. It really is point and shoot.

I will give some more thoughts in the next few days as I accumulate some more time on it but thus far it has me wondering if I needed to order the 3" Dually that I have coming.

I simply Love it.

Okay had a good hit out on it today in the 2006 Kooralbyn Marathon. And by a long way this is the best SS I have ever owned. I love it. weights for those who want them are s follows as I have made a few changes but it will move back and forth. I have now added Formula Puros with Goodridge Lines, I have a boone ti 32t Chainring on order for the middleburns and also added a Pace Carbon 29 Rigid fork to the options.

Weight as pictured with 2 x King Steel bidon caged and Puro - 10.08kgs

weight with Pace Carbon fork - 9.31 kgs

The frame size is a custom 20" with 25" TT length.

mmmmoots

Mmmm. Moots are still the king of MTB Ti in my book. Your not going to see many others rolling around town either.

Then there is the weight - daaamn! That thing would absolutely fly down the trail with 29ers and that weight. Brilliant work.
