Mountaincycle Zen II

After building up the Mountaincycle San An2, I got my hands on one of the new Zen frames.

Its taken a but longer to put together, but its getting there.

Have ordered some Stans Wheels so I don't have to share a wheelset with the San An.

You must have the most understanding wife in the world,you have got to slow down buying these things mate I cant afford to keep up :]
 
Finally picked up some new wheels (Stans Alpine on Stans hubs). Bike is pretty much complete and fingers crossed goes for a roll tomorrow.

Thats quite nice. Is that an extra linkage there in gold? Hows it work?

yeah..thats got me pondering too? those angles just dont look right, how the hell does it work?.
nice bike though, i miss my San An :decision:

edit post!: i see now, its a cantilever setup mounted down above the BB, my bad!

I'll get a better photo of the linkage, but its designed by Sotto, the same people who did the yeti Switch design.

Basically though, the bottom of the yellow link (you can't see it on the photo) goes to an eccentric pivot which alters the shock rate.
