New Norco Fluid VLT.
Uses the new Bosch SX motor and not stupidly priced like the new Optic.
The C2 at 11.5k looks a great deal with TRP Trail EVO brakes, GX T-type, an X2 PE shock and a Rhythm 36. I reckon the spec’d sway me over a Fuel EXe 9.7 which is now inexplicably 12.5k despite keeping the previous spec (which retailed for 11.5k)

New Bosch motor looks good and the bike does look nice, it's always shocking to say $11.5K for a bike is a great deal, but I confess to paying significantly more for the current steed.

Jabubu

let you google that for me
As much as I love axs, putting it on a bike with a Rhythm is stupid
What level of AXS is it? If it's GX AXS then I'd disagree as the Rhythm is a very good fork and actually suits the less complicated lower maintenance ethos of AXS.

If it was XX1 Transmission then I'd agree :)

GX T-type.
Agree with the Rhythm - it’s a decent fork even if it doesn’t have the flashy kashima. The 36 Rhythm is basically a Bomber Z1 - plenty of people ride them.

Not really anything new, but does anybody know if there is a company bringing out anything like this? An adaptor to turn your Makita battery into a dyson battery with an adaptor, went to order one at the local Uni 3d print space and thought surely someone must be doing this for E-Bikes?

**Dyson make some sick Ebikes

At a guess, an eBike would need a multi-battery setup. Those adapters are normally not "smart" meaning if there's one weak/low charge battery connected there's risks of fires and such. Also I doubt they'd fit in the downtube, and if mounted externally definitely wouldn't be waterproof. For tools they can be a great idea (with appropriate cautions), but for an all-weather 'appliance' like an eBike I can't see it happening with conventional tool batteries...

I'd say it would depend on demand. Ebikes and all the different batteries would be pretty small fish compared to Dysons and battery drills. Then as @beeb said, any battery would have to play nicely with the battery management system.
Aftermarket batteries for Ebikes could be a future business model, but the demand might not be high enough just yet to make if financially viable.

Yeah I was thinking about that like a mounted line but not sure how it would work, but traveling might make it easier for Eeb's to borrow batteries at the other end.
I've left drills and angle grinders out in the rain for periods and they seem to be okay (Milwalkee and Makita so far) accidentally on job sites but they still work. ;)

Catching up on my nightshift YT subscriptions.

Looks good, pricing looks to be €9999, full power and smooth as butter shifting, SJ seems happier with the silence.

"What I love is the silence." LMAO sounded like riding a printer up the hill
When I watched this I was pretty surprised how readily apparent the noise of it was, hoping it gets some refinement in short order.

Old mate seems to be dragged kicking and screaming to review it, he doesn't seem to grasp the advancement in tech.

I reckon that'd be pick of the eMTB pack currently, but I'd really hope it sounds less like a cake-mixer in person...

(...and local distro/support would be nice too)

Simplon do a TQ version of the Rapcon as well, it’d be great to be able to get that out here - I reckon it’d be a hoot!

Likes the squish but runs it on a 29" bike with headset routing, therefore negating the benefit of the drop crown, forcing the lower clamp down to the 27.5 mark, then has to run both 27.5" wheels on a 29" bike, lowering BB and then sets it to 180mm instead of 205mm. This steepened the head angle and the bike just looks wrong.

The headset routing makes the drop crown sit so high. Picked the wrong bike for the test. Good one Canyon.

Shirely an ebike media business like embn (with actual experienced mtb'ers hosting it) would've thought about the issue of a dual crown fork with headset routing and used a bike without cable tourism.

TBF I haven't watched the video, so I guess it might be his personal moped that he has used.

I'm not watching it again but I think it was his own bike or a least his long term test bike.
