Some fun tracks! Can I suggest running the trails red -> orange -> blue -> green? Doesn't really matter, as long as red isn't last... it's a LOT of hammering on the pedals!Excited anyone? Still need to finetune them as I don't know if we can finish via the parking lot and firetrail on the red track but worst case scenario is we just shorten the track. I'd prefer to have 3 finishes at the same spot.

Also, is it possible to break skyline in half, and send racers down northern express to the first fire road, then back up to skyline? I've always thought it would be a fun raceday surprise - but there are probably issues...
Fingers crossed I can actually turn up to race this one!! thanks HEAPS for organising these things

Going to be a lots of climbing between runs
Is it mandatory you ride to the top? We did it in 2013 and everyone was shuttling.Excited anyone? Am now Heading over to Canberra tomorrow to sell a pram. Might have to put the bike on the roof. 4 stages should sort everyone out.
Haha. It's not in the spirit of racing. You get disqualified at Nationals, I'm not sure about Rocky Trail. Is it mandatory you ride to the top? We did it in 2013 and everyone was shuttling.
All that climbing in three hours is more like a XC race. I reckon a fair few people won't be able to complete it in the time?Excited anyone? The additional climb to the top of the red track is not as bad as all of the others so it shouldn't add too much extra effort. Not going to be easy though. All that climbing in three hours is more like a XC race. I reckon a fair few people won't be able to complete it in the time?
3 hours 4 tracks and 4 climbs will be hard for some for sure..All that climbing in three hours is more like a XC race. I reckon a fair few people won't be able to complete it in the time?

What options are there apart from the cockatoo switchbacks ascent?Well I'm in. Look out for a tall bloke with a beard in a white bell super on a black 301 Happy to help out with routing to stages if you're unfamiliar with Stromlo.
...as many answers as riders I carry a hydration pack. Not sure what rocky trails' official stance on carrying first aid/spares etc is, but it's usually what I carry on most rides anyways.Stupid question, from someone who has never raced this kind of event - what do people do for hydration? Carry a pack or just grab a drink at the bottom?

Question on yellow - so they say it's the downhill track but with diversions around the a-lines and b lines added. Are these obvious or taped/marked out so you can see what the race run will be before hand?If you've only got gas for one practice run, do yellow. It's gonna be a blast
They were very clearly marked last year. The Yellow is essentially Vapour, over the bridge then a diverge left to avoid the rock gardens leading into triple treat then then down the south side of the 4 cross track finishing juts over the bridge. All the bigger jumps were taped off and forcing you into the smaller stuff.Question on yellow - so they say it's the downhill track but with diversions around the a-lines and b lines added. Similar question with the red loop, not actually sure where that is?
Plan on practicing Saturday so be good to know where to go.
