Feeling old
Mods - I'm putting this in general discussion because not many look in the trail building section
Synergy (the crew responsible for Old Mans Valley Hornsby) have been given the task by NPWS to rebuild the Oaks single track
NPWS asked that keen MTB'ers turn up to lend a hand this last Sunday April 11 - 3 turned up!
Now it must be the poor communication because the last time I rode the oaks it was like freakin' George Street
So, with the single track getting ready for an opening, we need lots of riders/ supporters turning up on the final day, Sunday May 25
We will be spending a couple of hours perfecting, grooming, and finally riding the new trail (not to mention gas bagging and feeding our faces)
Synergy want all skill levels of riders represented on the day - kids, weekend warriors, women and elites
NPWS will be providing lunch, and Synergy will be making a promo video, so you may even get into the MTB hall of fame
And I may even divulge the whereabouts of some of the best single track in the upper mountains to those interested :gossip:
This is a great opportunity for people with no trail building experience to put in their 5% (5% of ride time spent digging/ maintaining/ putting back)
It's the culmination of lobbying and hard work by a few (I'm not one of them), so the least we can do is support it
Can I have a show of hands please :thumb:
