Avanti Plus Hellfire Cup
Tasmania January 25th – 28th 2013
Hi,
We will we use this page to post updates and provide information and answer questions about the Hellfire Cup. Trail programme is ahead of schedule and we have some awesome sponsors and services on board.
So to start with here are some FAQs I’ve been emailed by riders already.
Q: will entries be capped?
A: yep 500 plus sponsors entries
Q: when will entries open?
A: We originally wanted to open entries on the 1st of July, but we are now looking at working with MTBA to make online entries easier for competitors. We want a streamlined online entry process. As a result of these changes entries will open in late July. We will post here as soon as we do.
Q: What is the course like?
A: The course covers very different terrain and riding surfaces it is not overly technical, consisting of fire roads, forest trails, purpose built single track and old tramline descents.
Q: What’s the availability of accommodation and camping?
A: There is free camping at the race village, and plenty of surrounding accommodation, all the stages finish and start at Kellevie race village so once your set up you don't have to move.
Q: What will I need to take ?
A: There will be a competitor information sheet which will be available to download from our website once entries open with lots of detail about the race and what you’ll need. We will provide you with lunch and an early evening BBQ so that’s your main tucker taken care of.
Q: How do I keep up to date with ride days and event information?
A: 1. Keep an eye on our pages on www. Hobartwheelers.com, www.pedalbite.com, www.rotorburn.com, there is also a Hellfire Cup Facebook page which you can join to get notifications. Additionally our website www.hellfirecup.com has a link that allows you to subscribe to official emails and newsletters. So there is plenty of way to keep in touch with what’s happening.
Happy trails
