Online retailers trusted/scammers

The volume of the package becomes the issue. I have run into this with mtbd and other online retailers before. It's time to juggle your items and also buy more shit than you want @madstace .

So now we're back, update on my MTBD order - after I further explained, they could easily identify the problem and offer a valid explanation. The particular tyre, DHR2 27.5x2.5! (I love symmetry as I'm running Aggressor 2.5 on the back) was a ship from supplier item, which I only half paid attention to. Despite it being reasonable this wouldn't contribute to free shipping, they've still given me a voucher to cover the postage paid. Hard to argue with that sort of customer service

Bikebug has really gone to the dogs.

I ordered four items. Three arrived and I haven't heard boo about the fourth item.
Checked the website and the item now says out of stock. Hmmm, I haven't received an email from them saying it is out of stock, and nor have they emailed a shipping confirmation. Let it go a few more days, emailed them. No reply. Emailed again. No reply.
So I went against my better judgement and opened an account to check the order status. Nothing.
I have now used their online ticket form to ask for the order status and to request a refund on the outstanding item.

It's been a while since I ordered from MTB Direct, but they at least emailed pretty promptly if something was out of stock.

Had a similar experience. Ordered some shoes that were in stock apparently. No email no nothing just saw a refund in my account a few days later. Obviously not in stock.

Wasn't it bikebug that was splashed all over the sbs tour de france coverage? That would have cost a tidy penny. Maybe a desperate, last ditch effort to revive revenues......?

I don't know if it's only been my experience with them, but they're usually really slack with correspondence, even when it was Pushys it took weeks to get an email out of them.
