Project Car / Motorbike thread. Let's see 'em.

Old tractor had no where to put shit and given the small dimensions it was hard to fit a tool box without it getting in the way. New one has a token tool box but it is only good for a couple of lynch pins and maybe two hitch pins. No shifter or rags etc. So I did the same thing as I did last time and utilise two existing holes in the ROPS and mount an ammo box on the side. Last time I made the bracket up from scratch and that was fine but despite plenty of cold gal paint it started surface rusting. This time I went to Bunnnnnnnnnings and looked for nice gal brackets to bend or redrill and found one that was pretty much perfect. very serendipitous. Just had to lop the return end off and fit a couple of 10mm holes that I picked up from the tool section. Works a treat. Ended up this morning folding and creasing some 1.6 gal sheet to reinforce the side of the box because it was a bit flopsy but now it is nice and rigid. Plenty of room for pins and a shifter, some rags and a can of shiftyobastard.

I will need to get some new bolts because the short ones are only zinc plated rubbish and the long ones were toooooo loooooooong and I had to cut 20mm off to fit. I like to use old ammo boxes because they seal well and if they have been smacked about by the army for 50 years they will last a few more.

With the rain and resultant grass growth I also invested in a grass or lawn sweeper. Bloody expensive for what it is and made from ticky tacky but man does it do the job. When the plastic gears flow out I will just make up new ones in ali. We still have about 18,000m2 or grass to control and this picks up the majority of clippings. With the rain we have had it isn't possible to keep up to the mowing without digging trenches and the clippings kills the grass underneath. Three sweeps now in total and I reckon there is about 4m3 of clippings piled up. And that is after it has been aggressed upon by the loader.

I like “No one was injured” except for a bit of pride and/or ego.

So glad dashcams weren’t a thing back in the day or mobile phone cameras, so much dumb shit done that no one can prove 😉
Had a hand in making an LS3 powered wagon similar to this era. Ours didn't have the 'stance' but was ferkin funny pulling up to lights with dual 2 1/2 inch dump pipes over diff.
Love the skinny tail pipe left hanging in the breeze here .
