something I have noticed with the photos of middle aged men on SS rigid 29ers is their ears stick out


it is such a romantic ideal - one gear, no suspension, not an ounce of fat, flying through the bush with your ears flapping in the breeze.

My eyesight is shocking. I use my flappy ears to hear obstacles on the trail.

oh chessy - now i get it - you ride in pink because you are sponsored by TR - I thought you were from the rainbow nation (not that there is anything wrong with that) but your partner is female. Now it all makes sense- please carry on.

5 laps - 35km.
Came 3rd in SS, but was just there for the ride and to pimp our kit.
Stopped and chatted with more than a few marshalls out n the track and generally just enjoyed myself.
I was the only one dumb enough to race rigid SS.
