Extra Info: brand new cro-mo steerer and crown (stronger than the stock steel one) 100mm travel, preload adjustment, 1 1/8 steerer is 265mm long.

what i was more worried about was, did the old steerer/crown brake? which in turn may have caused internal damage?

Just to clear things up, the steerer was bent in the 3rd or 4th ride of the forks. The forks were removed and new manitou flows installed. These forks have been sitting at the shop I work waiting for new uppers for the last 6 weeks or so.

The new steerer finally came and I personally installed it and checked the fork for any other damage, of which there was none.

Its all tip top and at this price a good little buy.
