Ok, I really don't buy into this whole "Just buy a BMX debate". Riders on big wheels and suspension are opening up a whole new world of street lines that aren't available to the 20" crew, pushing the perceived limits of street bike riding in a new direction and showing us all a whole new, fun way to ride our bikes in an environment that's not necessarily familiar to MTB riders.

The idea of a company building a street-specific bike is a great one if you ask me, anyone who's taken their regular DJ bike to the streets knows what an unholy toll street riding can take on what's already considered a 'tough' MTB. I've personally cut back on the amount of street riding (particularly grinding) I've been doing of late just because it's been beating the shit out of my bike.

Oh yeah and you've all missed the best feature of those new Marz forks...THE BOLT ON ARCH IS BACK!! PRAISE THE MTB GODS!!!

to whoever said there isn't downhill bmx racing, woodward has a competition every year. big burly jumps and the works.

personally i reckon the p.street looks rad. and if you gave me a choice between the Fuse IV (specialized's top of the line bmx for 04) and the P.Street it would be a super hard choice.

i personally would love to ride bmx
but whenever i attempt to ride one it would take quite a few hrs to get used to the small wheels
so that i would attempt even the smallest of jumps

now coming of a big bike onto something like this is much less off a step, i think its good for ppl who want a second bike but their big bike is still their main ride

BMX's are too small!! im a lanky 6'4" and i cant pedal the things.... i'd love to be able to though, so stuff like that specialized is spot on for me!

It's a single speed.
It's got a gyro.
It's got rim brakes.
It's got pegs.

Just suck it up and ride a fucking BMX for fuck's sake. Argh! It's not a step in the right way for MTB, it's just a step towards another sport...
agreed

Funny, looks like a suspension fork to me....

As for the pegs and stuff, I really don't understand how grinds (sprocket etc.) can be cool, but parts designed especially to allow you to grind are not cool, and how barspins can be cool, but gyro's are not cool....

I agree. I find BMXes to be cramped and too small for me, I wouldn't mind something like that.
