Yeah, I looked at that but the expense seems to be disproportionate.

All I need is a single XT M780 shifter i-spec or a single bracket (I need a new rear gear train and on a separate bike have XT BL-M780 brake that has an XT bar mount shifter next to it. I'd like to replace that shifter with an XT i-Spec and put the bar mount on the other bike. Save that, if I can't get a new i-Spec then I'd settle for a new bar mount and a single right hand i-Spec bracket). Both of those sales are for pairs, which essentially doubles the price.

There's one sale on this site that I'm waiting for a response on, after that I start emailing CRC to see what I can do. Already identified that Wiggle can't help me, even if I'm spending around $250 for a full gear train.

I-spec-B shifter brackets are compatible with i-spec-A brake levers, if that's your concern. But you can't fit A shifters to B brakes.

That's interesting, I haven't read that anywhere else so far.

Have you done this yourself?

Yes, my brakes are M666 SLX i-spec-A with M780B XT i-spec-B shifters. The shifter set includes mounting hardware for both types. No problems with the fitment.
