I can't get away from older hip hop. Can anyone recommend some "new" hip hop out of America?

Watched the 2002 Biggie and Tupac documentary today. Recommend it to anyone interested in the East Coast - West Coast rivalry stuff. Really opened my eyes and pretty convincingly orchestrated Suge Knight in both the murders and Biggie's even more so.

I can't help but think that the people who don't like hip hop are only taking it on it's face value. Behind every song there's hundreds of years of oppression and struggle. Being so lucky to live in Australia we don't see the true potential harshness humanity can have. Making it out of the ghetto alive can be a pretty huge deal.
