I can see this guy getting pretty big. Featured in a verse in Kanye's "Alors on Danse".

Also, Karma-1200 Techniques is some classic hip hop out of Australia.

I was listening to Drake's latest stuff and to be blunt it fucking sucks. Well produced with a great beat but he has no depth, I can almost here Lil Wayne speaking through him. I'm seriously considering writing because, well if that shit can make millions then why the hell not?

How did I not see this thread further?

Lately I've been listning to The Grassroots Anarchy Mixtape, Ozi Battlas'(sp?) Wild Colonial, and some BINGETHINKERS.

Speaking of which, I dunno if this video has all ready been posted; but here it is anyway:

Been listening to a fair bit of OFWGKTA and Tyler the Creator's Bastard album which led me to hearing a new single called 'Yonkers' off an album yet to be released called 'Goblin'.

Pretty fucking good. Tough track in comparison to the newly released hip hop I've heard of late. i.e. stuff from Talib Kweli's Gutter Rainbows album.

Eat it up!

It's kind of annoying that main stream hip hop is dominated by shit. Trey song's, Drake, etc. Find it hard to believe that some of the songs I see on youtube have 10mil + views.

In saying that Lupe's new album isn't bad. Typical anti-establishment sentiment in this song but I like it a lot.

I think this would have to be the first hip hop song I heard. If anyone remembers it was on the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 soundtrack. If you haven't heard this you probably suck.

So thoughts on OFWGKTA?

The amount of hype for the release of Goblin is ridiculous, the blogs and music forums have been buzzing for weeks.

IMO it's not that bad, but over-hyped and definitely not the "revolution in hiphop" people are calling it... and if hear one more person describe something as "swag"...

Youtube link rooted for me but I'm familiar with that tune. Intense film clip and even better rhyming.

I love OFWGKTA but I like tyler the creator more specifically. I'm not in tune with his ideas on life/death etc. but I do like the sound of the music he makes and the words that come out of his mouth. He's pretty radical in that fact that the cunt purely does not give a fuck. His genuine "I don't give a fuck attitude" is a refreshing trait seldom seen in most rap/hip-hop artists these days. His deep as hell voice is appealing also.

When I first heard the track Yonkers I listened to it ALOT. Very solid track and I certainly can't wait for Goblin to drop.

I was taking photos and I brushed past Horrorshow at security and they wern't letting him in because he left his pass back at the stage :p

Drapht had massive amounts of charisma compared to last time he was in town. Got mad photos of him stage diving too.

Found this while I was looking for beats. I just really like the female vocalist.

Main source, the biggest nerd hip hop group in the game; worth checking out though. This song has a great verse from Nas.
