It will seize up after a while from the calcium and minerals in the water.

I've installed heaps of those water spouts on bathroom vanity units and they have 2 orings and you can still spin the spout even though the gland nut is tight that's holding the spout in place. I usually put a dab of silicon on them to make them grip faster but they're not under constant pressure. Being annealed copper it's soft, if you have a lot of movement in the house I suspect the joint could move in the worst possible scenario.

I installed some of that pex pipe in a workshop once, went back the next day and rats ate a hole in it.

@Plankosaurus - I used to work in the Gas Meter factory in Melbourne. We got sent a meter for inspection as a laugh. Someone had built up a garden around it and over 20+ years the aluminium casting got eaten away until only the garden was was keeping the gas supply going to the house.
