Thinking of giving a gravel bike a crack

They seem to get huge fields for the gravel races
A lot of roadies seems to be giving it a shot. The more the merrier I say. Definitely more a 'type 2' activity as they say, I've now done a casual gravel race and a proper gravel race - definitely like the casual one better. MTB races still have a better overall vibe, but it was still a pretty good crowd

We mainly ride gravel 2 days a week because our older friends cant stay on singletrack anymore.
8 of us went away for 3 days , 62 yo to nearly 80 yo to the King River Valley NE Vic.
There are 100s of roads there , it is a very wide valley ,no traffic and quiet.
Recommended : there is a booklet with 8 rides.
