"I never said it was a conspiracy... but it is easy to look at it as one" sounds a hell of a lot like Trump's "people are saying..."
It's a great way to spread unfounded rumours and it's exactly that sort of division that plays right into the hands of the opposition.
The more I look at this the more I have to shake my head in dismay. The Dems are totally tanking this through a mixture of both ego and incompetence. The fact that they started with 25 candidates and are still sitting with 11 this late in the game shows a lack of discipline within the party and is testament to the fevered egos who have no business being there but are happy to bludge off campaign contributions and tear strips off each other to the bitter end.
Trump is in an almost unassailable position at the moment. The US economy is pretty good right now and he's been great at claiming credit for it. Regardless of the fact that the steady climb kicked off at the start of Obama's 2nd term, that is all that matters to most voters. He's also shown that he's untouchable in the eyes of the law, has the full support* of his party and will be emboldened to make further attempts at rigging the election because the idea of a 2nd impeachment is unfathomable.
The only hope the Democrats have is showing a united front behind a strong candidate who won't rock the boat as far as jobs go and they are a long way from that.
