Is that even possible?Too much porn
Maybe he meant to little porn.Is that even possible?
I have a SATA hard drive running in an USB 3.0/2.0 compatible case, when I plug it into the USB 3.0 socket into my laptop it continually disconnects and reconnects and doesn't show up in "Computer", it works fine in the two USB 2.0 ports. When I had a lok in Device Manager to see what is going on I noticed it was only registering two of the three ports on my laptop, both are the USB 2.0 ports.
Can someone give me some instructions on how to fix this? I'm not overly computer literate so the more detailed the better.
Yeah I have, I've tried looking it up on computer tech sites but I'm not knowlegable enought to comprehent the abbreviations, it all looks like gibberish to me.Have you tried turning it off and then on again?
:lol:Very funny Rone, I got it.Have you tried turning it off and then on again?
Its a Fujitsu 2.5" internal laptop HDD with an external case on it.What USB drive is it? A link would be great......
I'm guessing you have a drive that requires external power.
Why then does it work fine in the other USB ports?Yup. Needs external power.
so this would explain why the case came with a USB power cord?Usb 3.0 draws more power. A lot of these drive caddies need an additional usb plug to supply enough power to the drive.
Yes, yes it would.so this would explain why the case came with a USB power cord?
