What chain device if no ISCG mounts?

What chain device can I use if my frame does not have facility for ISCG Mounts?

I am running 1x11 and dropped a chain on a ride last week. But with a press fit BB and no ISCG tabs I am in unfamiliar territory.

Any suggestions?

Seat post mounted top guide will do the job pretty well. e13 make a tidy one, or similar but cheaper, look at superstar components.
If you're worried about losing it at the bottom, there are the bionicon C guides.

Sanity is not statistical
Clutch MTB have designed an ISCG-05 plate for Giant frames that have press fit and no iscg but they state it should work with other frames that use a 47mm press fit shell.

Can only be used on alloy frames, not recommended for carbon.

Might be worth a punt ? but at $50 it isn't cheap..

Of course, the elephant in the room is that press fit is the stupidest standard ever. The clutch is the answer to a question no one asked :tsk:

Following on from what moorey said:

If it has a front derailleur mount like e-type or direct mount.

(Also pictured in the mrp 1x link above)

Appears to be e-type FD mount from looking spesh's website. There are more brands that make guides like these, but e13 and mrp seem to be the dominant ones in this area.

I am currently running one of the Clutch adaptors on a Trek Fuel Ex8 with press fit BB and I can't fault it. I had to file a very small amount of material from the flat part of the clamp where the bolt goes through so that it would clamp up tight but aside from that it was an easy fit.

I am running a 1X10 on my new mojo HD, I have a hope bash guard on atlas cranks and have just fitted a Bionicon C guide, at $55 it so far works a treat. Was at Mt Joyce on weekend and never looked like dropping a chain. check it out at frameskin.com
