Said Garmin watch arrived today. Still don’t know how to really drive it, but this is taking the whippets for a run at the oval. Had no idea a footy oval could be so bumpy. I’m not so sure about the watch now.

But I really do like the constant HR monitoring… which is the main thing.

You need to calibrate the barometer occasionally

Let all of the air out at the farthest point from the car on last night's ride. Never had it happen like this before, stick jammed in the spokes and snapped the valve stem off and to make it worse left a little bur on the thread which meant I couldn't unscrew the nut.

Lucky a little bush ingenuity got me rolling again.

calibrate by GPS height or do you set it on the hectopascal value?
If it's a Fenix, calibrate to a known elevation, or at sea level if you're bong'n'beaches resident.

You can calibrate to a known GPS location profile, but I've found 'Stralian profiles to be unreliable

Been so long, but it's like falling off a bike...
