Anaesthetist gave me some kind of numbing injection before having the main anaesthetic that was supposed to last 7-10 hours to help with pain management post-op for my collarbone. It lasted about 28 hours - I thought I was doing great... ...until I realised how wrong I was. Haha, live and learn I guess!

Finished the Escort crossmember this afternoon after picking up some dimple dies. What a trial that was, saf knows... anyway baseplate was drilled and dimpled then welded in place so the cross member can go in and the engine positioned finally and mounts made. That is 2.5 gal sheet. My porta power cannot do the dimples because tge hole in the dies are too small and the mandrel will fail, so I used the press. The centre holes were really too close so I redid both to even them up. They werent supposed to be dimpled but someone drilled them in the wrong position. So I did this to make my mistake look like it was on purpose!

Did some test 2.5" dimples prior to hacking into someone else's MkI twin cam Escort! Spacing was my experimenting. Need to work out "Mexico" spacing so this was a try and see. They work goodly. Centres at 115, 120 and 135mm. Yeah I dont know why I picked those either.

Going good! Surgeon found disc fragments & very squashed nerve. Huge improvement in muscle strength already.
