Not looking bad at all, you have to get all flatland now.
A surprisingly lack of graffiti too, the Newcastle council is working it hard.
Nipples............eh.........
And of course it smells like hobo piss.
Thats because the whole of Newcastle smells of hobo piss or worse.

Like stale pearl jam?The recently demolished penis tower had a smell like nothing you could imagine.
Quite a few of them continuously work on their hydration. Is hobo piss worse because they dont keep an eye on hydration?

For a long time the wall was a legalised graffiti area. It worked really well to help reduce graffiti around town, there was a real epidemic in the early to mid 2000s. Anyway a while back a big developer went to war with the slate park's location, they wanted it gone and felt it was too close to their newest development. In the end the graffiti wall was canned but the skate park stayed. The paint there is graffiti resistant and always covered in sea spray making it difficult to work. Every now and then some of the layers break away and the old graffiti is revealed from underneath.
Side note is that one of the oldest pieces of convict era engineering is nearby. But because it's Newcastle nobody knows about it and it's hidden behind a bunch of shitty bushes. And of course it smells like hobo piss.
Like stale pearl jam?

Some places do suit graffiti but I'd guess the Newcastle council would be hot on the trail to clean it up on their pristine beachside location.
That is one of very few, if at all, skateparks I've seen graffiti free.
That's where you'd be wrong...that little stretch of Coast line has a long and sad history of being a neglected shit hole. I think it is linked to the difficulty of commercialising the spot.
Fair enough, I am over optimistic way too much. Skaters won't like commercialisation anyhow and are too busy sticking it to the man.
Sadly you don't see that many skaters compared to back in my day and the skate parks are full of scooter rooters.Fair enough, I am over optimistic way too much. Skaters won't like commercialisation anyhow and are too busy sticking it to the man.
Or they are mostly teenagers that don't want to be too far from Macca's and riding scooters. That skate park was built when I was in high school and was one of the first in the area. There's a few scattered around now and it is a lot less popular. Makes it good for middle aged losers on bikes.
I'd get a woody if the local council realised that bikes and other fun things need a little space too. They need to modernise their thinking.
